I’m Devon Meadows. Dad. Thinker. Tinkerer. Right now I’m CTO at Cake. This is my working brain in public.

I walk and talk into my phone a lot. For a long time, my ideas were buried in random notes. I realized Manual note refinement doesnt scale. So I often talk straight into my capture system and triage to this site.

I’m building the Cake platform. I’m still developing Morning Paper. And I’m getting back into Commune, the project that is this site.

I’ve been playing with Herdr lately and building up the home lab. Been making these wall sheets for tools I use a lot so I can improve my speed. I find that Printed references turn recall into recognition.

I also run Noontide. Main Branch is an open source project that evolved out of that.

These notes are Evergreen Notes. This page is my home note. The sliding panes owe a debt to Andy Matuschak’s Notes. His work inspired me and shows how interface shapes thinking.
