Commune
Commune is my personal open-source project, and @dmthepm/commune is the package that powers My Working Notes. I built my own site first and recognized the structure afterward. It’s MIT licensed. There’s no company, no subscription, and I have no plans to monetize it.
I want to keep my thinking connected, current and in my own hands, and share it in public while it develops. I keep markdown notes because I can read them, move them and keep working on them. Evergreen Notes gives that practice a shape: a note can change when I do.
Commune helps turn those notes, dictated thoughts and the scraps of everyday work into a maintained personal wiki. AI shapes voice dumps into atomic notes is part of that. The authoring skills help me question, draft and revise Atomic Notes, and the CLI helps me inspect connections as I write.
The site and tools share a link graph. Backlinks show what reaches for a note. Sliding panes let me follow a thought, and every page has a markdown twin so agents can read it too. Publishing stays portable.
I want a friend to inherit what I’ve learned from building and using this, then make a wiki of their own.
